Hisar MP and Indian National Lok Dal leader Dushyant Chautala has sent a legal notice to Haryana Minister Anil Vij asking him to tender unconditional apology or face defamation case for his drug addict remarks against the former.

“I have sent a legal notice to Health Minister Anil Vij asking him to tender unconditional apology for maligning my reputation. If not satisfied with his reply, I will file a defamation case against the Minister,” said Dushyant Chautala on Thursday.

The INLD leader said that he had exposed a scam worth Rs 300 crore in the Health Department but instead of conducting an inquiry into the matter, the concerned Minister indulged in blatant lies with mala-fide intention to mislead the public and malign my reputation.

Notably, Chautala had last month alleged that norms have been violated in the purchases made at the district level by the concerned officials over the past three years in Haryana. Chautala had claimed that this is a scam of Rs 300 crore in Haryana and also, demanded a probe by Central Bureau of Investigation in the matter.

Responding to the allegations, Health Minister Anil Vij had said that Dushyant is taking drugs and he should go to some rehabilitation centre.

The Minister, who is also holding the portfolios of Sports & Youth Affairs Department, had also said that the area from where Dushyant comes, is known for drug addicts, and possibly Dushyant too may have become an addict.
