On My Block, Netflix's teen dramedy, will get a chance to resolve the cliffhanger on which it ended its freshmen season. The streaming service renewed the series on Friday, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The series, about a tight-knit group of high school freshmen growing up in Los Angeles' rough-and-tumble South Central neighborhood, premiered in March. It stars Diego Tinoco, Sierra Capri, Jason Genao, Brett Gray, Jessica Marie Garcia and Ronnie Hawk. Lauren Iungerich and Eddie Gonzalez and Jeremy Haft co-created the series.

It's the second high school-set series Netflix has renewed this week, after younger-skewing sitcom Alexa & Katie. However, another teen show, Everything Sucks! (which also ended its season on a massive cliffhanger), was controversially canceled last week.
