Ghaziabad: The body of a factory worker was found with injury marks in a park in Shalimar Garden area in Sahibabad on Friday. The youth has been identified as Rohit, a resident of Ganesh Puri area. He worked in a switch-making factory.
The body was found with injury marks on forehead. “There was a deep cut near his eyebrow and a cloth was wrapped around his neck. It looked as if he was strangulated as we also found bricks with blood stains and some empty beer bottles near the body,” said Rajesh Mishra, circle officer, Sahibabad.
The police have collected CCTV footage in which Rohit could be seen going with three friends. “We have detained his friends for questioning and in the meantime we are awaiting the postmortem report,” said Mishra.
