It's spring but freezing rain is closing in

The calendar says spring but the atmosphere says winter.
Forecasters are warning that freezing rain will move into the northern part of the Capital Region Saturday night, raising the prospect of a slick sheen on surfaces.
The temperature on Saturday will struggle to rise into the mid-40s and then fall below freezing after the sun goes down.

Rain and freezing rain will roll in as the day moves on.
Friday will be warmer and dry. Forecasters say the temperature should rise into the high 50s during the day before tumbling into the 40s overnight.
