A 23-year-old Dover man pleaded guilty and immediately was sentenced Monday to 20 years in prison for selling two 15-year-old girls for sex.

Patterson Green met the two girls after they had run away from Murphey School, a group home facility in Dover in the spring of 2017, said Carl Kanefsky of the Delaware Department of Justice.

In exchange for a place to live, Green arranged for the minors to have sex with several different partners, Kanefsky said.

The investigation started after one of the girls was arrested for shoplifting in Salisbury, Maryland.

Green pleaded guilty to fourth-degree rape and trafficking an individual.

Right after his admission of guilt, a Superior Court judge sentenced him to 20 years in prison, followed by one year of either home confinement or work release, then two years of probation.
