Four Mississippi State students have been charged with felony third-degree burglary for breaking into University of Alabama’s athletic facility and stealing memorabilia.

On April 4, the students broke into the Mal M. Moore Athletic Facility in Tuscaloosa before dawn when no one was inside, The Associated Press reported. Court records say the students stole “various items of memorabilia.”

The students were identified using footage of the incident captured by security video.

A spokesman for Mississippi State said the university is cooperating with authorities and the students’ status at the school “will be determined after they have received their due process of law rights according to existing university policies.”

Mississippi State and Alabama are SEC rivals.
