Three people, including the Yoga guru of Samajwadi Party patron Mulayam Singh Yadav and a Congress leader, were killed in a road accident on Agra- Lucknow expressway on Wednesday. Six others were also injured in the mishap and were hospitalised.As per reports, the mishap occurred when a SUV collided with two other cars as they entered the expressway near Faghua Bhatta village of Tirwa police station area on Wednesday morning.
Yoga guru Laxmipati Verma and Congress leader Dharamraj Verma were killed on the spot. The third deceased was travelling in another car and was identified as Harimohan Agarwal of Lucknow. Occupants of two other cars which collided with the SUV suffered injuries and were rushed to Kanpur for treatment. Meanwhile in Unnao, around 25 passengers were injured when a UP Roadways bus overturned after crashing on to a divider on the busy Lucknow-Kanpur highway early Wednesday morning. The accident occurred when the bus driver lost control over his steering. The condition of two of the injured was stated to be critical.
