Suits season 8 episode 1: When is the new episode set to release on Netflix?
SUITS season 8 will be the first series of the US legal drama show not to feature Meghan Markle, although rom-com queen Katherine Heigl is set to join the cast. But when will episode 1 of the new season be released on Netflix?
As season 7 of Suits gets ready to wrap up, fans will be mourning the departure of two of its major stars - Meghan Markle, 36, and Patrick J. Adams, 36.
Meghan, who plays Rachel Zane, has left the show ahead of her highly-anticipated marriage to Prince Harry, while her on-screen love interest has also cited personal reasons for his departure.
But Suits fans need not be too upset, as a plethora of new characters will be joining the show in Season 8.
They include 27 Dresses actress Katherine Heigl, who posted a photo on Instagram a couple of days ago from the set of the new season.
Getting her hand wrapped up for a kickboxing scene, the former Grey’s Anatomy actress teased: “My character #SamanthaWheeler is no shrinking violet! She’ll kick your a** in the ring and in the courtroom! Love playing a girl with gumption! #AnythingYouCanDoICanDoBetter #GirlsWithGumption”.
When will season 8 episode 1 of Suits be released on Netflix?
An air date has yet to be announced for season eight by the makers of the show.
But it is likely to be televised in the summer of 2018 as per previous seasons.
USA Network
On January 30, 2018, USA Network confirmed Suits would return for an eighth season.
In a statement, the network said: ”After seven seasons, Suits remains one of USA Network's most beloved and popular series.
"While we're excited for Season eight, everyone at USA will deeply miss Patrick and Meghan, and are grateful for the talent and commitment they brought to Suits season after season.
“We wish each of them nothing but the very best."

In the meantime, viewers can watch episodes of Suits season 7 on Netflix now.
What will happen in season 8?
With old characters departed and new ones arriving, the new series will see some big changes in storylines.
In season 7, Donna Paulsen (played by actress Sarah Rafferty) told Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) that she had feelings for him - leaning in to give him a kiss despite the attorney being in a relationship with another person.
Creator Aaron Korsh told Deadline: “Season 8 will have everything from shifting alliances and internal power plays, to secrets, betrayals and fiery relationships.”
