KAKINADA:Kapu patriarch Mudragada Padmanabam on Wednesday alleged that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu always boasts of his seniority, but has not made a strong pitch for Special Category Status to  the State.

Speaking at a State-level Kapu meeting in East Godavari district, Padmanabham said the TDP government would not support the Kapu and Ontari communities. He said the CM has been keeping an eye on the Kapus’ struggle, fearing for his seat. The country has many leaders who are  senior to  Naidu.
He demanded that the CM give statutory status to reservation to Kapus. He appealed to other Kapu leaders to take part in the agitation for Special Category Status to the State.
