Britain’s Got Talent 2018: Simon Cowell’s replacement for David Walliams REVEALED
BRITAIN’S GOT TALENT creator Simon Cowell spoke about the future of the talent show in an interview with Dan Wootton on Lorraine this morning, where he discussed training up a new judge for the show to replace one of the current panel.
Christine Lampard presented Lorraine this morning, and introduced Dan interviewing ITV producer Simon Cowell.
Ahead of Britain’s Got Talent’s new season beginning this weekend, Simon was asked about the future of the show.
He first announced that “there’s a very positive type of energy about the show this year.”
Simon was then asked about past show winners Susan Boyle and Paul Potts.
He revealed: “She will have an album out this Christmas, and it’s a little different.”
Simon went on to reveal that he has balanced out his home life a bit better this year.
“I feel better this year than I did last year. Not so many meetings, late night calls,” he smiled.
“I want to spend more time with [Eric].
“And luckily he likes the shows, so I’ve been bringing him to them and training him up.
“One day he’ll take over. I think about it all the time.”

Dan joked: “Maybe he’ll replace David one day!”
“Maybe!” Simon laughed.
Discussing his troublesome judge, David Walliams, Simon said: “I’ve learned one thing with David - you can’t stop him.
“It’s like a red rag to a bull.”
Simon also revealed that David brought his NTA award to the show throughout recording.

He won the NTA for best TV judge earlier on this year.
“It’s a little irritating,” he said.
The talent show returns this weekend, and will see the recorded shows presented by both Ant and Dec.
The live shows will be presented by Dec alone, following Ant’s crash last month.
Britain’s Got Talent begins on Saturday, 8pm on ITV.
