THANE: A man was found dead under
mysterious circumstances with
injury marks on his head in the
Uttar Shiv area of Daighar on Tuesday.
A police officer said that they have identified the deceased as Jamil Nashibdhar Khan, a resident of
Uttar Shiv in Dahisar of the city.
"He was sleeping by the side of a tea stall on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday, when an unidentified person hacked him to death with a sharp weapon as severe and deep injuries are found on his head," a police officer informed.
The police said a case has been registered at Daighar police station undr section 302 of the Indian penal code and are carrying out the probe and questioning the people living in the vicinity.
