Jawaharlal Nehru Agricultural University will observe its 14th Convocation ceremony on Thursday under the chairmanship of Governor of Madhya Pradesh Ananadiben Patel.
Governor Anandiben Patel will felicitate the meritorious students with gold medals on the occasion. The event will begin from 11.30 pm to 01.35 pm.
Minister of State Public Health and Family Welfare and Department of Parliamentary Affairs Sharad Jain, Madhya Pradesh Government will be special guest. Deputy Director General (Agriculture Education), Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi Narendra Singh Rathore will give convocation speech. Vice Chancellor Pradeep Kumar Bisen will give the welcome speech and the university's report.
Former director general of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi Padma Bhushan RS Parada will be awarded an honorary degree (Doctor of Science) on the occasion. Vice Chancellor of Nanaji Deshmukh Veterinary Science University Prof Prayag Dutt Juyal, Vice Chancellor of Rani Durgavati University Kapildev Mishra, Vice Chancellor of Madhya Pradesh University of Medical Sciences RS Sharma will be present especially on this occasion.
Interestingly, the convocation ceremony will be a different one. The students will be dressed up in Indian traditional attires rather than the gowns and caps. The dress code which is fixed up for the event is white suits for the girls and white kurta payjama for the boys.
