Teenage girl allegedly followed off tram, stalked in Melbourne's east
A teenage girl was allegedly followed off a tram and stalked in Melbourne's east last week.
The 15-year-old had boarded the 109 tram in Kew about 1.40pm last Thursday when she noticed a man watching her.
Feeling uncomfortable, the girl got off the tram at Surrey Hills and saw the man had also stepped off and was allegedly following her down Whitehorse Road.
She ran to a group of tradesmen working in a front yard and called her mother to pick her up but the man sat on a nearby fence and continued to watch her.
Her mother arrived and the girl took photos of the man as he eventually walked away towards Whitehorse Road.
Leading Senior Constable Adam West told radio station 3AW the girl had been made to feel very uncomfortable and police were keen to speak to the man in the pictures.
The man is described as being in his fifties with grey collar-length hair and grey facial hair.
He was wearing a navy baseball cap, navy 'Renault Trucks' t-shirt, dark shorts and no shoes.
Anyone who recognises this man or has any information can call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
