 Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has said, justice will be delivered in the rape-and-murder case of an eight-year-old Bakerwal girl in Kathua district.
In a tweet, she said the state government will not allow the law to be obstructed by irresponsible actions and statements of a group of people. She said, proper procedures are being followed and investigations are on the fast track.

Earlier, Congress President Rahul Gandhi described the case as "unimaginable brutality" that cannot go unpunished.
In a tweet, Mr Gandhi asked, how can anyone protect the culprits of such evil.
He further added that the violence against the child was a crime against humanity. He also lashed out at the politics being played over the crime.
