BBC Breakfast: Naga Munchetty’s interview INTERRUPTED 'Did he just check his phone?'
BBC BREAKFAST was interrupted this morning as Naga Munchetty was caught off guard as her guest’s phone went off during her interview.
BBC Breakfast saw Naga Munchetty left a little red faced this morning.
She and co-host Charlie Stayt conducted an interview with Peter Ford earlier today, a former ambassador to Bahrain and Syria.
Whilst conducting a serious interview with Peter regarding Syria and its politics, the guest inadvertently interrupted the proceedings.
After being asked about what could potentially be discussed with Theresa May in the cabinet meeting today, Peter paused for a second.
Wide eyed, he shuffled to his pocket as his phone began to ring.
Trying to ignore it, he pulled his phone out and silenced it.
Ignoring the interruption, Naga moved on from the interview.
Fans were quick to point out the interruption as they flocked to Twitter to comment.
One wrote: “@BBCBreakfast answer yer phone mate.”
Another added: “@BBCBreakfast did he really just check his phone? @BBCNaga.”

@BBCBreakfast did he really just check his phone? @BBCNaga
One more said: “So funny the guy on @BBCBreakfast phone just went off lol.”
Today’s guest blunder follows an incredible slip up from yesterday.
He ominously announced: “I’ll have to be very careful because I’ve got this sound pack on.”
But he was obviously not as cautious as he should have been.

Mike missed a step inside the pool, leaving him tumbling into the water in front of his audience.
As the microphone crackled, the swim team were left in hysterics as they couldn’t continue their interview.
Mike tried his best to maintain his decorum, but was left laughing himself before his microphone died completely.
BBC Breakfast airs weekdays at 6am on BBC One.
