LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - Wyoming basketball coach Allen Edwards has signed three prep school players and a junior college transfer.

Edwards says he was looking for a little more maturity than the average high school player with Wednesday’s signings of Bradley Belt, Tariq Johnson, Brandon Porter and Jake Hendricks.

He says all four have great athleticism and length and can shoot the ball.

Belt comes to Wyoming after averaging 29.4 points a game at Washington Academy in Greenville, North Carolina. Porter also played at Washington Academy, averaging 23 points and 8.7 rebounds.

Hendricks averaged 12.7 points a game last season at the College of Southern Idaho, and Johnson averaged 17 points and seven rebounds at Mount Zion Prep last season.

The four join Trevon Taylor, who signed with the Cowboys last November.
