Accusing the Congress government in Karnataka of indulging in corruption, Chief Minister of Bihar and national president of the Janata Dal (United) Nitish Kumar said here on Wednesday it was possible for the JD(U) in Karnataka to replicate the “Bihar model” of development and win the hearts of people.

At an interaction programme, Mr. Kumar recalled various pro-people movements led by Shantaveri Gopala Gowda, S. Bangarappa, Konandur Lingappa, J.H. Patel, and others and said, “Such people-led movements are models for the entire country to show what the real model of development is”.

He admitted that it was difficult to compare Karnataka, which was in the forefront of development, with Bihar, which is in the process developing on the basis of social justice. “Our model of development is not restricted to one community, it is inclusive,” Mr. Kumar said.
