Last week’s KDKA "Eye on Beaver County" was a truly remarkable and historic event for our region. To assemble a highly diverse panel discussion moderated by Jon Delano in front of 600 attendees at The Fez in Hopewell Township was no small feat. The Chamber was pleased to play a small part in this effort as we continue to champion new business development and business competitiveness throughout the Beaver Valley. We thank The Times for its sponsorship and great coverage of the event. All of the sponsors, panelists, government officials and attendees made for a terrific and energized evening.

Beaver County is not on the cusp of revitalization, we are in the midst of it. The “eyes” of many across Pennsylvania and the tri-state area are truly on us. With the continued spirit of cooperation and collaboration shown last week, I am certain we will reach our full potential and profoundly raise the prosperity of residents in all of our communities.

Topics addressed are just the tip of the iceberg regarding the great work being done to ensure our vision and strategy for growing Beaver County, especially the work being done by the Beaver County Partnership for Community and Economic Growth, the Beaver County Redevelopment Authority, the Beaver County Corporation for Economic Development and the Pittsburgh Regional Alliance.

We may have our separate issues, but we have the same goal of helping Beaver County retain and attract more businesses, jobs and permanent residents while preserving our quality of place.

Jack Manning, Beaver County Chamber of Commerce
