Vivek Mishra, who was kidnapped from the Garhwa Railway Station on April 8, was rescued by police from the clutches of his kidnappers from Ranka village on Tuesday. The abductors had allegedly demanded Rs 20 lakh as ransom for his safe release.
Garhwa SP Mohammad Arshi said that when one of the kidnappers Rahul Pandey reached at Chiniya more for collecting ransom police nabbed him. The police was already sitting in the trap, as soon as the kidnapper reached their police trapped him.
On the information of arrested person police rescued Vivek from a house of Rohilla village under Ranka police station. Police also arrested three kidnappers there. They recovered five cell phones from them.
The SP said that victim Vivek a resident of village Bhawnathpur works as a pharmacist in Medica hospital, Ranchi. He was coming from Ranchi to Garhwa by train on April 07. When he reached out of the Garhwa station, four criminals kidnapped him by Indica car and lodged in a cuchacha house at Rohilla village under Ranka police station.
The kidnappers demanded Rs.20 lakh ransom from the father of victim through mobile of victim. When Vivek did not reach home, his father Ramesh Chandra Mishra was registered an FIR with Bhawnathpur police station.
The arrested kidnappers were identified as Rahul Pandey aliad Lulu Pandey resident of village Patariya, Sudhakar Tiwari, Anup Tiwari both resident of village Bauliya and Ritesh Yadav resident of village Khonhar all under the district.
