Copper futures dip 0.69% on global cues

Amid weak trend overseas and subdued demand at domestic spot market, prices traded lower by 0.69 per cent to Rs 445.50 per kg in futures trade today.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, for delivery in April fell by Rs 3.10, or 0.69 per cent to Rs 445.50 per kg in business turnover of 3,680 lots.

Similarly, the for delivery in June was trading lower by Rs 2.60, or 0.57 per cent to Rs 450.15 per kg in 109 lots.

Analysts said reducing of bets by participants following a bearish trend overseas and sluggish demand from consuming industries in the physical market, mainly weighed on prices at futures trade.

Globally, for delivery in three month fell 0.8 per cent to USD 6,893 a tonne on the London Exchange.
