Bal Bharati Vidyamandir Ribandar organised Bal Anand Melava for the students of class 5 of the neighbouring schools namely Our Lady of Help, The Little Penguins, St Pedro and Bal Bharati Vidyamandir Primary School.
The programme began with a prayer led by the teacher Surekha Gaonkar. Headmistress of the school Apolonia Fernandes highlighted the importance of Bal Anand Melava. The students were divided into groups and were given an opportunity to participate and learn different activities through sessions conducted by the resource teachers.
The sessions organised were music, flower making, drawing and colouring, clay modelling. An exhibition was organised to display the items prepared by the participants during the sessions. Each school then presented one cultural item followed by students’ views on the programme expressed by student representatives of all the four groups. Also present were Ankita Fadte, teacher of secondary section of the school and Nascita Vaz, teacher of Our Lady of Help.
