Computerisation of three tier panchayats: Govt allocates second installment to IKM

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state government has authorised financial allocation to Information Kerala mission for the computerisation of three tier panchayats in the state. Earlier the government had accorded administrative sanction for an amount of Rs 1500 lakhs to IKM. Later sanction was given to release an amount of Rs 505.61 lakhs to IKM.

The executive director of IKM has reported that an amount of Rs 794.32 lakhs has already been spent upto January 31, 2018 and requested the government to release the remaining sum of Rs 994.39 lakhs.


The state government has now released an amount of Rs 3.89 crores as second installment for the computerisation of three tier panchayats. The government has directed IKM to furnish utilisation certificate for the amount released.
