ALLAHABAD: Sleuths of Special Task Force (Allahabad unit), on Wednesday, busted an inter-district gang involved in smuggling rectified spirit for illegal liquor production and arrested four of its members on Allahabad-Unchahar highway. The miscreants were arrested as they were getting ready to transport a consignment to Rai Bareli.
The arrested persons were identified as
Awadesh Kumar of Fatehpur, Maniram Mishra of Sangramgarh, Rajmani of
Pratapgarh and
Dharmendra Kumar of Rai Bareli.
Additional SP (STF) Pravin Singh Chauhan said, "After being alerted about the racketeers' location, a team of STF officials cordoned off the area and nabbed four persons."
