BJP UP chief hails Yogi Govt for ordering CBI probe in Unnao rape case

VARANASI: BJP state president Mahendra Nath Pandey on Thursday strongly defended the Yogi Adityanath government on Unnao rape case and custodial death of the rape survivor’s father, saying that the government has performed its duty and the probe into both the cases have been given to CBI.


During his stay at the Circuit House, Pandey said that the Yogi government is committed to implementing rule of law in the state.


Reacting over delay in arrest of accused BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar, he said that all necessary action is being initiated in this case and all guilty persons will have to face appropriate legal action.


He further said that without coming under any pressure or without any demand, the Yogi government has handed over both the cases to the CBI to bring out the truth.


Later, Pandey also observed fast at his parliamentary constituency Chandauli.
