Midwestern State is holding its 30th Annual Maroon and Gold spring football game Saturday at Memorial Stadium.

Kickoff is set for 5 p.m. but the Mustangs are promising much more than just a game for fans that want a look at the 2018 Mustangs. MSU won the Lone Star Conference in 2017.

Admission is free and so are the hot dogs. Pregame festivities begin at 4 p.m. including a Kids' Zone, music and the opportunity to kick a field goal for a $5,000 cash prize.

The first Robert Grays Endowment recipient will also be announced at halftime.

The Mustangs Shuttle will run from the campus to the stadium and back from 4:30 p.m. until the end of the game.

The players held their draft Wednesday night to decide the teams for this year's game. Last season, sophomore Marcus Wilkerson picked off two passes and broke up another while also making a game-high eight tackles to lead Gold to a 9-2 win in a game that featured 345 yards of combined offense.

It was the complete opposite of what the Mustangs were about in the regular season when first-year starting quarterback Layton Rabb passed for 31 touchdowns and the offense scored 468 points in 11 games.
