MSc programme
The University of Sheffield, UK is inviting applications for MSc (Res) Advanced Manufacturing Technologies course starting in September 2018. The MSc in Advanced Manufacturing Technologies is a research programme led by a collaboration between the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Automatic Control and Systems Engineering and the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC).
Students have the opportunity to undertake taught modules related to cutting edge manufacturing technology and apply this knowledge to an industrially motivated research project within the AMRC. The modules are taught by leading academics in all areas of Mechanical Engineering and Automatic Control and Systems.
The research project allows students to experience real industrial challenges that span across the entire manufacturing process, from materials suppliers to assembly specialists. Your project will focus on a topic that is a current challenge for industry and you will have the opportunity to investigate potential solutions using some of the most state-of-the-art machine tools in the world based at the AMRC’s Knowledge Transfer Centre.
Entry requirements: The MSc(Res) is aimed at engineering graduates with a minimum 2:1 honours degree or equivalent. If students have excellent qualifications in other science subjects such as Physics or Maths or have appropriate professional experience, applications will be considered.
Students should preferably have English language capability equivalent to CEFR C1 level (IELTS 7), although applicants with IELTS 6.5 (with no less than 6 in each component) will be considered.
Fees: International Students — £21,450 for session commencing September 2018
