Narragansett rallied for seven runs in the top of the sixth inning to defeat Tiverton 7-1 in Rhode Island Division II baseball on Tuesday at Tiverton High School.

Losing pitcher Mason Farias allowed three hits through five shutout innings. In the sixth, a misjudged fly ball that fell for a triple started the rally and Tiverton contributed two errors, a wild pitch, passed ball, hit batter and a walk to further fuel the Mariners' spark.

Tiverton (0-1) scored its run in the third inning when Matt Potvin singled, went to second on Damien DeGala’s ground out and scored on Farias’s line single to center.
