Writes to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar informing her decision

Former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi on Wednesday wrote to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar informing him that she was returning all security cover from her residence and, “if some thing happens to her or her family, the State Home Minister will be held responsible”. Ms. Rabri Devi was questioned by the CBI on Tuesday in the railway tender scam and at midnight the government downgraded security in her official residence. Her two sons and other RJD leaders said they too would return their security cover in protest. But, the State police headquarters clarified that only one battalion, comprising 15 Bihar Military Personnel, had been withdrawn from Lalu Prasad as he was currently lodged in jail.

Alleges conspiracy to kill family

“The security from my residence was withdrawn in a huff at midnight which has put my family and my residence at security risk ….. so whats the use of keeping the remaining security personnel for show-off?”, wrote Ms. Devi in her letter. Later speaking to journalists at her residence, Rabri Devi alleged that “its all conspiracy to kill her and family”. “But, now people of Bihar and my party workers would take care of my security”, she added.
