Himachal CM meets injured children

Himachal Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur on Tuesday visited Civil Hospital Nurpur and Amandeep Civil Hospital Pathankot to meet the injured children of the school bus accident near Nurpur in Kangra district  a day before. Four children have been admitted in Nurpur hospital and seven in Amandeep Hospital Pathankot.

The Chief Minister wished them a speedy recovery and ensured all possible help to their family members.  He also appreciated the bravery and courage of Ranveer, a 10 year boy injured in this accident for reaching the road from the accident site and informing the people about this accident.

In total 23 children, 12 boys and 11 girls besides four adults lost their lives in the tragic bus accident.

The Chief Minister said the state government would soon constitute a committee to give its suggestions for ensuring that such tragedy should never happen in future. He said the state government would provide all possible help to the injured of the ill fated school bus and directed the doctors to provide best treatment to the children and if needed, they should be referred to another hospital and government would bear all the expenses.

Thakur said  the Government has ordered Magisterial  inquiry to probe the cause of accident. He said that all necessary steps would to taken to ensure that such incidents do not happen in future.

The Chief Minister said that the State Government was with the bereaved families of the children who lost their precious lives in this most unfortunate accident.

Earlier, Thakur placed wreaths over the bodies of the victims and expressed his heartfelt condolences with the bereaved families.

Union Health Minister J P Nadda, MP Shanta Kumar, Food and Civil Supplies Minister Kishan Kapoor, Education Minister Suresh Bhardwaj, Urban Development Minister Sarveen Chaudhary, Health Minister Vipin Singh Parmar and MLA Rakesh Pathania were also present on the occasion.
