Jharkhand Photographic Association (JPA) organised their annual general meeting (AGM) on Tuesday at the Press Club. They inaugurated their grievance redressal cell and a life membership opportunity against a fee of Rs 5000. Further, it was decided to bring down the fee of general membership to Rs 600 from Rs 1100.
Addressing a press conference, Sanjay Bose, Secretary, JPA, said, “We remain committed to our motive of skill development of our fellow photographers and extend our help in whichever way possible.
A grievance redressal cell has been setup which will be supervised by three notable members. Our next elections will be in the month of October and until then; the present governing committee, headed by Niranjan Kumar, will be incumbent.”
The association plans to organize its second “three day Expo” starting Sept 22-24. Sanjay Bose, Secretary, said, “The Expo will be organised with the support of various National and International companies who will come to participate. Various techniques and equipments with regards to photography will be exhibited.”
At the AGM various achievements were highlighted including the collaboration with the IPRD in the past, where they had organised two photo walks to Dassam Falls and Navratan Garh respectively. “It is our determination and aim to highlight Jharkhand’s beauty and the scope of tourism to the world.”
