Toronto Maple Leafs, not Winnipeg Jets, are Canada’s team: Instagram poll

It has been said, numbers don’t lie. But in this case, they must seriously be skewed!? Or perhaps it is just too early to call it.

Preliminary results of an @globalnews Instagram poll Wednesday suggest the Toronto Maple Leafs are the team the majority of Canadians are cheering for in the Stanley Cup playoffs.

The poll closes around midnight EST.

This poll differs greatly from the NHL standings — Winnipeg finished second in the league during the regular season, with the Leafs finishing nine points below.

And for what it’s worth, Las Vegas oddmakers favour the Jets more than the Maple Leafs.
