Conservatives apologise for sending ‘f**king’ letter to OAPs

The Conservative Party has apologised after pensioners received an letter soliciting donations to the party, addressed to “Mr Fuckingjoking”.

The letter, printed beneath an official masthead and emblazoned with a photograph of Theresa May, asked the recipient - full name Youmustbe Fuckingjoking - to consider donating to the party’s Campaign Managers’ Fund.

Laura McCormack, from south-west London, shared an image of the offending missive on Twitter on Tuesday night, saying that her elderly neighbours “were more than a little upset to be addressed in this manner by the PM”.

Earlier today, a Conservative Party spokesman said that it was “unacceptable that this letter was sent out”.

“We apologise for any offence caused. We are currently investigating this matter to ensure it does not happen again.”
