Theresa May moves closer to joining military action against Assad in response to suspected chemical weapons attack in Syria

Theresa May has moved closer to agreeing to join military action against the Assad regime as she said the UK was "rapidly reaching" a conclusion on who was to blame for a suspected chemical weapons attack in Syria. 

The Government has not formally blamed Syrian President Bashar al-Assad for carrying out Saturday's attack which killed 70 people, including children. 

But the Prime Minister took a significant step to attributing responsibility to the dictator on Wednesday as she said "all the indications are that the Syrian regime was responsible". 

She also said the use of chemical weapons "cannot go unchallenged" as pressure continued to mount on the Prime Minister to join potential military action....
