The "Terrible Tuesday, 39 Years Later story was well done except there was no mention of Team Sheppard's involvement in the aftermath of the Tornado(s). To leave them out of the story was a huge omission. Perhaps you can write a "Part 2" to the story of the events that happened after the storm had passed.

It is my understanding that the base was a major player in assisting the local community with all sorts of help to include: providing personnel to help where needed, communication aid, medical care, delivering food, water, and numerous other things. All training was put on hold and Team Sheppard stepped up and was a big part of the clean up effort in the aftermath of this horrific event.

As a result, The Humanitarian Service Medal was awarded to these deserving service members for their outstanding performance of duty.
