The Cavaliers have had to adjust the starting lineup dozens — and dozens — of times in the 2017-18 season.

Injuries, trades, and figuring out how to use the talent has meant the Cavs have used 29 different combinations of 18 players as the starting five in the 82 games of the regular season.

Cleveland also had turnover on the bench. Coach Tyronn Lue took a medical leave of absence after experiencing “piercing” chest pains during two games this season. He left the bench on March 17 in Chicago and returned April 5 against Washington. Assistant coach Larry Drew took the reins during Lue’s time off.

The only consistency in all 82 games — on the floor and on the bench — has been LeBron James. The 14-time NBA All-Star started every game in the regular season for the first time in his career.
