Rajesh Ranjan takes charge as CISF chief

NEW DELHI: Rajesh Ranjan, a 1984 batch Bihar cadre IPS officer, on Wednesday took charge as director general of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), which secures airports, Delhi Metro, sensitive government buildings.

Speaking to TOI, Ranjan said, “CISF is a professional force, which has been doing its job with great commitment for several years. We will work towards taking CISF to the next level.


With 34 years of experience, Ranjan has held key posts including in CBI, as assistant director in the Financial and High Tech Crime Sub Directorate at the Interpol General Secretariat.
