Spring is upon us and along with the birds, animals and plants coming out along the Alfred J Lima Quequechan River Rail Trail, you will find the volunteers who help to keep the trail and the water clean for all to enjoy.
The Friends of the Quequechan River Rail Trail, along with Comcast, the City of Fall River, Groundwork Southcoast and Mass in Motion Fall River, are sponsoring the third annual Earth Day Cleanup of the Quequechan River Rail Trail on Saturday, April 21. We are looking for volunteers of all ages to help us clean the shore, the water, do some pruning and mulching of the beautiful gardens, remove some heavy brush and debris along the trail and remove some tires from the river. Last year, over 65 participants removed over 2,000 pounds of trash and 42 tires!
If you would like to volunteer, you can sign up on our Facebook Page, Quequechan River Rail Trail. The cleanup is listed as an event, and if you click on the tickets available link, the registration page will pop up.
