Prime Cherry Blossom Viewing in D.C.
Parts of the Midwest are still seeing snow in the middle of April, and one report shows the Corn Belt could see frost in June. However, Washington D.C. is fortunate enough to see spring conditions as its cherry blossoms are in bloom.
Each year, visitors from across the country flock to the nation’s capital to see the blossoms in bloom in the Tidal Basin.
On Thursday, the blossoms reached their peak bloom, but according to the National Park Service, the optimal viewing could last four to seven days after the peak bloom.
Blossoms will be facing some possible turbulent weather Thursday, as Washington D.C. is expecting wind. Aside from that, temperatures are supposed to stay warm, allowing beautiful viewing weather.
