GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) - Former University of North Dakota men’s hockey coach Dean Blais is being inducted into the school’s sports hall of fame.

Blais was head coach for a decade beginning with the 1994-95 season. He led the team to national championships in 1997 and 2000. He ranks second in program history in wins and win percentage. He was named national coach of the year twice.

The 1999-2000 national championship team also is being inducted into the UND Letterwinners Athletics Hall of Fame.

The induction ceremony for the full 2018 hall of fame class is Sept. 21.
