Man booked for rape in Kanpur

KANPUR: The police booked a man, Mahendra Singh alias Sonu, following a complaint lodged by a woman alleging that he had been sexually exploiting her for the past 22 months.

She stated in the complaint that the accused would extort money by threatening her to upload her obscene video on the social media.


The accused is a resident of Sadullahpur area of the district.


The woman stated in her complaint that she had met Mahendra about two years ago at a marriage function of their common friend in the city.
