Renovated officers’ mess inaugurated

Police officers rewarded for good work

The Director General of Police (DGP) S.K. Gautam on Tuesday inaugurated the newly-renovated Police Officers’ Mess at Old CID Complex, Police Headquarters, in Puducherry. Rajiv Ranjan, Deputy Inspector General of Police (Law and Order), V.J. Chandran, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Karaikal, Apoorva Gupta, Senior Superintendent of Police (Headquarters), and all police officers were present.

The DGP issued appreciation letters and commendation certificates to Mr. Rajan for his professional contribution in resolving the sensational pawnbroker murder case and Mr. Chandran for forming ‘Women Protection Mission.’ Ms. Gupta was rewarded for her work in organising ‘Self Defence Programme’.

Rachna Singh, Superintendent of Police (North), was also given an appreciation letter for organising ‘All Women Police Sports Event – 2018’ and R. Karthikeyan, Inspector of Police, was given a commendation certificate along with cash reward for cracking the four-year-old pawnbroker murder case.
