Woman freed after becoming trapped in car rollover near Gingin

Emergency services have freed a woman who became trapped in a car that rolled over near Gingin.

The incident occurred on the Brand Highway near the intersection of Gingin Brook Road in Granville, just after midday.

It's understood the car crashed into a tree, leaving a woman trapped inside.

Firefighters are at the scene attempting to free the woman from the wreckage, and WA Police are also in attendance.

The RAC Rescue Helicopter is currently transporting the woman to Royal Perth Hospital, and is due to land just before 2pm.
