Unconscious elderly man rescued by youth

A carpenter, aged around 70 years, who was lying unconscious near Venkojipalem bus stop on Monday evening was rescued by some good Samaritans who rushed him to the King George Hospital (KGH) with the help of the police.

Doctors said the elderly man, identified as Sriveerraju, was suffering from low blood pressure and dehydration. He gained consciousness after being administered with fluids. He was discharged from KGH on Tuesday and the Samaritans — V. Sandeep, V. Norosh, E. Suresh, D. Kiran and Srikant— admitted him to the Loyala Foundation Old Age Home.

Meanwhile, Balamma Foundation chairman Chilakala Malakonda (Maanav), appealed to the public to send WhatsApp alerts on the mobile number 9000955514 seeking help for the unidentified persons who lose consciousness on the road due to sun stroke.
