Eating healthy meals just got a whole lot easier with the opening of Clean Eats Delivery in Fall River. For the past few years, healthy eaters around the SouthCoast have known all about the healthy meal-delivery service, and now, they offer grab-and-go meals at some sites, including the one at 179 President Ave.

Here are 10 things to know about Clean Eats Delivery in Fall River:

1. In a week or so, the name is actually changing to Plan-It Eats, so for now, look for the Clean Eats banner, but in a week or so, keep an eye out for the new sign, said owner Mike Glassman.

2. They offer 43 meals (for advance order) and the entire menu is free of dairy, sugar, flour and gluten.

3. The grab-and-go meals, prepackaged in a microwaveable container, are ready to heat and eat. The Fall River site doesn’t stock the entire inventory of 43 meals, but at least half of the menu (including the top 10 sellers) was available for pickup on Tuesday. Just walk in and tell the nice people at the counter what number meals you want — it’s that easy.

4. Teriyaki Chicken and Veggie Stir-Fry; Lean Grass-fed Ground Beef Bolognese; Baked Cod, Super Chili (with lean turkey); Shepherd’s Pie; and vegan Indian Sweet Potato Curry are among the top sellers. Most meals cost $10 each.

5. You don’t have to “be a member” to get the meal delivery service. There’s a three-meal minimum. Just go onto the website by Friday afternoon, place an order and the meals will be delivered to your home or workplace on Monday. Reoccurring meal plans are also available.

6. The meals last 5 to 6 days in the refrigerator and they have people who order 5 to 14 meals a week. There’s a one-time fee for the thermo cooler of $25 and a weekly delivery fee.

7. They also sell breakfast snacks to be ordered, or to pick up on site including paleo blueberry muffins and chocolate banana muffins.

8. Looking to shed a few pounds? The calories, carbs, protein and fat are listed right on the menu. They will also meet with people to do metabolic testing and create customized meal plans.

9. Glassman started out selling healthy meals to go from the Healthy Grille Restaurant in Dartmouth in 2010. In 2015, he launched Clean Eats Delivery, which has expanded to a few grab-and-go locations and several pick up sites at area gyms. In May, he’s planning on opening another site in Newport.

10. There are five vegan options to choose from on the menu including a Powerhouse Ray Greens Salad.
