Cape Town - What can make the Happiest Place on Earth even better? Dogs wearing Mickey Mouse ears of course!

Four service dogs from the non-profit Canine Companions for Independence (CCI) were sent to the world famous Disneyland Resort in California for some fun with other furry friends and of course for some of the sweetest photo opportunities.

Judging by these blessed pics posted on Twitter by one of CCI's puppy raisers, Checkov, Aryssa, Essie and and Ortega look like they are just having the time of their lives.

But it isn't all play. CCI provides service dogs to the differently-abled who need assistance or emotional support for free, and taking these dogs to loud, crowded places like Disneyland help them learn to cope with distractions in any situation.

Enjoying the trip and getting lots of deserved attention is just a bonus.

In South Africa, the main organisation that raises services dogs is the Guide Dog Association South Africa, where you can become a puppy raiser to train these dogs to help people who need them.
