CM orders setting up of control room in DEO’s office

Taking cognisance of the complaints especially on social media platforms over non availability, over pricing and hostile attitude of private schools on the NCERT Books, the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Trivendra Singh Rawat has ordered setting up a control room in the office of District Education Officer (DEO) of Dehradun.

In an order to the DEO of Dehradun, the CM said at least two persons should be appointed within 24 hours in the control room to listen and act over the complaints in the control room.

He said that parents can call on the phone numbers 9412403037, 9412973903 or e mail their grievance on deo-dehradun-dir@gmail.com. The CM also ordered that the parents in other districts can also register their complaints in the offices of DEO.

State so that the poor parents can afford to buy quality books at low costs. In last few days many complaints were posted in the Face book page, mobile App and Twitter account of Chief Minister about non availability and over pricing of NCERT Books.

The parents are also complaining that many private schools are forcing them to purchase the books of private schools along with the NCERT books
