‘Missing’ ACP resumes duty, statement recorded

Navi Mumbai: ‘Missing’ ACP Rajkumar Chaphekar resumed work at the Economic Offences Wing, Navi Mumbai, on Monday. He recorded his statement with the NRI Coastal police where his missing complaint was lodged.

Mr. Chaphekar said he had gone for some urgent personal work and chose to not inform anyone about it. “He had gone on his own and come back. We have recorded his statement as per his claims,” said an officer attached to the NRI coastal police. Mr. Chaphekar reached home in Kharghar on Sunday night from Madhya Pradesh. Calls made to Mr. Chaphekar went unanswered.
