Market Now: Over 50 stocks hit fresh 52-week highs
Axis Bank, Adani Ports, Tata Steel and ICICI Bank were leading the pack of gainers in the Sensex index.
NEW DELHI: Over 50 stocks, including Balkrishna Industries, Birla Cable, Bharat Parenterals, Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Company, Divi's Laboratories, Avenue Supermarts, Indusind Bank and Trinity League India hit fresh 52-week highs on BSE during Tuesday's trade.

Healthy buying in metal, bank, capital goods and IT amid a positive global trend were keeping the domestic equity benchmarks in the positive terrain.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 28 points up at 10,407, while BSE Sensex was up 105 points at 33,893 around 11 am (IST).

Shares of Balrampur Chini Mills, Bajaj Hindusthan Sugar, Praj Industries, Tata Steel, PC Jeweller, Future Lifestyle Fashions, Trident, Mphasis, Hindalco Industries and Axis Bank were the top gainers on BSE, rising to 7 per cent.

Among the 31 stocks in the Sensex index, 18 were gaining in trade, while 13 declining.

Axis Bank, Adani Ports, Tata Steel and ICICI Bank were leading the pack of gainers in the Sensex index.

On the other hand, Mahindra & Mahindra, Bharti Airtel, Tata Motors and Wipro were among the top losers in the Sensex pack of stocks.
