ST. LOUIS – Jamie Allman's show on ABC 30, The Allman Report, has been canceled after blowback from a tweet threatening a survivor of the Parkland, Florida, school shooting.
In a since-deleted tweet, the talk show host threatened to sexually assault David Hogg, a survivor of the mass shooting Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and an outspoken gun control advocate.
Ronn Torossian — a spokesman for Sinclair Broadcasting, which owns KNDL ABC 30 — said, "Yes his show is cancelled and he is off the air immediately."
A boycott of advertisers spearheaded by Rep. Stacey Newman, D-Richmond Heights, resulted in a few sponsors pulling support for the show. The sponsors pulling ads included a Ruth's Chris franchise, The Gellman Team and Palm Health.
Allman also has a morning talk show on 97.1. Entercom, who owns 97.1, said they will be keeping Jamie Allman off the air at 97.1 FM starting Tuesday while they gather facts and weigh all the information.
