On their tenth anniversary celebrations, The Scenery Guest House Group with the assistance of funding from the World Bank via Leap and the Lesotho Ministry of Trade recently implemented their new digital strategy. Marethabile Sehika, Managing Director of the group said, “The hospitality industry is forever evolving and growing, and if we want to offer world class service to our guests then we have to ensure that we as a business implement the right solutions that will allow us to complete in the very relevant online space.”
Primrose Khumalo of Omni Hospitality, the South African hospitality technology providers, responsible for providing the solution explained, “The group have chosen to implement a solution that will allow them to connect to unlimited Online Travel Agents and convert bookings from their website, mobile application and social media platforms. Furthermore, they will be adopting our cloud based property management system, integrated with booking engine and channel manager, which will give them the added advantage of ensuring that they have the right controls in place to effectively manage their property.”
Marethabile further adds that they’re very excited to be the first hotel in Lesotho to utilize such technology, which will help them grow their business and enhance their customer experience. They look forward to a booking engine, which will help them showcase their beautiful country and properties on their website.
Makopano Teboho Mosakeng, representing the Ministry of Trade and Industry and LEAP stated, “We are extremely happy to be able to assist and fund such an important project and work with hoteliers and guest houses in Lesotho to build the tourism industry”. These organizations have helped fund various projects in the tourism industry through their partnership with the World Bank.
